Co-founder Adam Karras explains:

“For this year’s Yass Touch Football Knockout, Bolts Touch Football entered a total of eight teams across men’s, women’s and mixed divisions with a total of 42 players making the journey down to one of the country’s most competitive touch competitions.

Playing in extreme heat against some of the nations’ top touch talents, the Bolts achieved some notable results with one men’s team and one women’s team making it all the way to their respective semi-finals and many other Bolts teams displaying impressive touch football pedigree out on the park.

Spread over two days, each team played over 7 games in temperatures reaching 34 degrees all the while representing the club proudly in our official ‘home estate agent’ sponsored club uniform.”

The Bolts Touch Football Club has had a very short but significant history. Within the two years since its inception, the Bolts have built their roster to over 180 playing members with nine teams currently representing the club across five different Summer competitions.

The Bolts have also won many local touch competitions including the UNSW Social Competition twice over the past two years. The aspect of the club that we are most proud of is the inclusive, social and diverse culture that has been cultivated over the last two years via the many social events facilitated by the club and the organic recruiting of our members.

Although the Bolts are based in East Sydney, the club’s members include players from the Northern Beaches, Western Suburbs and South Coast and we are always looking to welcome new members.

We are blown away by the teams’ devotion and passion for the game! Community sport is such an important part of finding local connection. It not only builds a greater sense of community and camaraderie, it promotes a healthier lifestyle and that makes us even happier at home!
